Phase One: 2016 to 2020

In 2016, Original Image Photography was born. I’d always had an appreciation for cameras, and YouTube in particular fueled that passion as I grew into my teenage years. Working my first job at a movie theater, I saved up to buy my first camera—a Sony A6500, which I still use today. Over the years, the lenses have changed, but the body has remained my tried-and-true companion.

From freshman through senior year of high school, I tailored my services to classmates and friends who wanted an affordable alternative to the high cost of senior portraits, prom portraits, and other milestones. Much of the work you’ll see below comes from those early years, with senior portraits being the foundation of Original Image.

By the summer of 2019, I was working at a seasonal camping resort in Old Orchard Beach, Maine, preparing for my first year at Thomas College in the fall.

Then came 2020. Like many businesses, Original Image Photography faced unexpected changes and challenges, ultimately leading to its closure. Though, it wasn’t the end of the vision I still had for myself and the business.

In 2022, after graduating from Thomas College with a BA in Marketing Management, I rebranded my original vision into Bourgoin Media—allowing my photography roots to reemerge while expanding into new opportunities within marketing and consulting services.
